The Sixth Form
for girls aged 16-18
The Sixth Form at Ipswich High School is a unique and fulfilling experience. We offer a compelling combination: first class teaching in a wide range of subjects, exciting and varied challenges as well as an enrichment programme which will set you apart and equip you to take your place in society with great confidence.
Our aim is to create a collegiate atmosphere, where you have the freedom and space to grow as an individual, whilst ensuring that you receive the very best support, advice and guidance possible. We want all our Sixth Form students to have a voice, to feel confident and to have the conviction to express their opinions.
Our students leave Ipswich High as assured, poised young women, ready to face the most exciting of challenges, unsullied by gender stereotyping and equipped to break through the glass ceiling.
Join us for our Sixth Form Open Evening on Wednesday 12th October at 7.30pm in the Hayworth Theatre.
The evening is run by our Head of Sixth Form, Dr Kirk and members of our Sixth Form. The evening is designed to give you a flavour of Sixth Form life with presentations and a Q&A session; followed by an opportunity to find out more about the specific subjects on offer, achance to speak to tutors, teachers and other Sixth Formers about your options and tours of the Sixth Form facilities.
If you are unable to join us on the 12th we welcome prospective pupils and parents for individual tours and meetings with the Head and head of Sixth Form throughout the year. Do contact our Registrar, Bernadette Ross-Smith for more information on 01473 201 034 or email admissions@ihs.gds
